Frequently Asked Questions

What are the requirements for High School Diploma completion?

In order to graduate from Lisbon Adult & Community Education with your high school diploma you must complete coursework in the following areas:

State of Maine requirements (17.5 cr):

  • English/Language Arts - 4 credits;
  • Mathematics - 2 credits;
  • Civics & Government - 1 credit;
  • U.S. History - 1 credit;
  • Conceptual Science - 1 credit;
  • Lab Science - 1 credit; 
  • Fine Art - 1 credit;
  • Health - .5 credit;
  • Physical education - 1 credit;
  • Computer Applications - Proficiency/.5 credit
  • College & Career Planning - Passing demonstration/.5 credit
  • Electives - 4-5 elective credits depending on Personal Learning Plan (PLP)

Additional requirements as per Lisbon School Department:

  • Mathematics - 1 credit;
  • Conceptual Science - 1 credit;
  • World Language - 1 credit;
