Frequently Asked Questions

Can LACE proctor my examinations from an outside organization?

Yes, you can. We frequently proctor examinations required by university courses, or other outside organizations requiring tests or assessments. These are typically from colleges, universities, vocational organizations, home-school programs, or online charter schools. If you are not enrolled in a Univerisity of Maine System course and need proctoring services, you and your sending organization must submit a proctoring memorandum of understanding before we can begin this process.

The fee for this service is $50 per course in which you are enrolled. This fee is frequently paid for by the school or organization at which you are enrolled. In the event that the organization does not provide this fee, the payment will be the responsibility of the student. This fee covers all tests that are required of the student within the course. This fee will be waived for Lisbon adults concurrently enrolled in Adult High School Credential Completion programming.

LACE employs 8 staff and educators trained in proctoring duties. Each hold a minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited, higher education institution, are State of Maine CHRC certified, and are bonded by the proctoring protocols of Maine Adult Education standards. If you have any questions about taking examinations at Lisbon Adult and Community Education please do not hesitate to call or email us.
